The standard Heron hip supports only narrow the seat so far. This kit takes it further for the smallest users, with spacer blocks in two thicknesses and the longer bolts needed to fit them.
The blocks sit between the seat and the hip supports, bringing the side supports into contact with a narrow pelvis so the child sits upright and centred instead of shifting about in the seat. It is an add-on and does nothing on its own: the hip support set has to be fitted first. If the standard set already reaches the width your client needs, you can leave this kit out of the order.
For a small child using the Heron who needs pelvic contact to hold an upright posture, it is the difference between a chair that fits and one that is close enough. Worth re-checking the setting after a growth spurt or a change to thicker winter clothing.
Good to know
- Requires the R82 Heron Hip Supports set (880508-02), sold separately
- Re-check the width setting after growth or when the client changes clothing thickness
