For a client who is at risk of falling out of bed and needs a care bed that does not look like hospital equipment, the Aura is Malsch’s premium option. It sits in a bedroom as furniture, with timber and anodised aluminium finishes, while giving you full electric profiling, tilt in both directions, and a very low floor position for fall management.
Who it suits
This configuration is the wide single, so a client who moves about a lot in bed, or who needs room for a pressure mattress and repositioning, has the space to do it. The vertical split side rails retract downwards and work one handed, which lets you set them for mobilisation, standby or full protection without swapping hardware. The integrated extension pulls out in two stages for a taller client, and the slide panel supports repositioning and transfers in and out.
For carers, the profiling, comfort seat and transfer positions all run from the hand control, so setting up for a hoist transfer or for sitting up to eat takes one person.
