Uccello Powered Kettle Tipper

Code PTKD01BB

A 1.5 litre cordless kettle that pours by tipping in its cradle, so the client never lifts a full kettle of boiling water. The base rotates 360 degrees and the kettle weighs about 1 kg. For clients with arthritis, weak grip, tremor or one-handed use. Four colour combinations.

About this product

Most kitchen accidents with hot water happen at the moment of lifting a full kettle. The Uccello removes that moment. The kettle sits in a rotating cradle, and to pour, your client rests a hand on the handle and tips it forward in the base. The spout swings down over the cup and the cradle carries the weight the whole way.

Filling is straightforward too: the lid is wide and hinged, the water window shows the level at a glance, and the kettle lifts off its cordless base like any other if that is easier at the tap. It switches off when it boils and again if it is lifted from the base, with overheat protection behind that, and the base is weighted and non-slip so it stays where it is put.

It suits a client with hand arthritis, reduced grip, wrist weakness, tremor or one-sided weakness after a stroke who wants to keep making their own hot drinks safely. It also works well for a client seated at a bench or in a wheelchair, since pouring needs no lifting. A client with significant cognitive impairment who may not judge the cup position still needs supervision, and the client needs to be able to reach the bench or table the kettle sits on.
