Bowel routines are one of the biggest barriers to independence for clients with spinal cord injury or reduced hand function. The Supp-A-Sert E-Z Reach is a handheld inserter that extends the client’s reach and holds the suppository until it is in position.
The tip is spring loaded, so the suppository is released only once it has been inserted to depth, which takes the guesswork out of the routine and makes each attempt consistent. A vinyl strap secures the device to the hand, giving a client with limited grip a firm hold, and it is designed to be used with either hand.
It suits use on a raised toilet seat, where the extra reach matters most.
