A drop seat insert turns a sling seat into a firm level base. Clients who sit in a hammocking sling drift into a posterior pelvic tilt with the hips rolled inward, and once that is happening, a cushion sitting on top cannot correct the posture underneath.
The insert is painted nine ply birch that drops between the seat rails and sits at or just below the rail line, keeping the seat height close to where it was. It arrives pre drilled with T-nuts supplied, and there are locations already drilled for abductor hardware and for a hinge, so supports can be added without a technician drilling a timber panel on the day. Drop hooks and swingtabs are specified separately depending on the chair.
Sizes follow chair width, with extra long options for clients with longer thighs.
