This cuff holds an electric razor for a client who cannot grip one. It is a practical answer for people with a spinal cord injury, advanced arthritis or a hand deformity who want to keep shaving themselves without waiting on a carer.
The cuff adjusts to take a range of razor shapes, so your client’s own razor can usually be used. Hook and loop straps fit most hand sizes and a thumb loop gives something to pull against when the cuff is being put on and taken off, which is the part that defeats a lot of one handed users.
Grooming independence is usually high on the list when a client is setting goals, and this is a low cost way to get some of it back.
