Supracor’s Contoured XS cushion is built from fused honeycomb, and that is the point of it. The honeycomb flexes under the pelvis, ventilates as the client moves and does not hold heat the way a solid material does, which suits a client who sits all day and gets hot.
The contour has a rear positioning dish with a softer zone for the ischial tuberosities and coccyx, so the bony points sink in while firmer honeycomb around them carries weight through the trochanters and thighs. The soft centre also stops the client hammocking into a sling seat. The XS layer adds a softer top surface for a client who needs more immersion at the skin.
It comes with its cover and a laundry bag, and the whole cushion goes through a washing machine and a dryer, which makes life easier for a client managing incontinence or for a service washing between users.
