A transfer belt for sit to stand work with a client who can take weight but needs steadying and a controlled point of contact. It gives the carer something purpose made to hold, with no need to grab clothing, an arm or a waistband, which is safer for the client’s skin and shoulders and better for the carer’s back.
The inner face is anti slip, so the belt stays put on the client through the stand and does not ride up under the ribs. Sizes run from extra small through to double extra large and each size is a different colour, which makes it quick to grab the right one in a shared setting and easy to check that a client is wearing the size prescribed for them.
It works on its own for a standing transfer, and it can be used with the Staebel Transfer Platform where a client needs more support through the move.
