Who it suits
This Adapta back support is for a client with a fixed or developing kyphosis who needs the backrest to come to them. The shell is built in three sections that adjust individually for angle and height, so you can open the shell out where the spine is rounded and bring it in where you want contact, without wedging in layers of foam.
The kyphotic padding option is shaped for that curve, filling behind a rounded thoracic spine so the pressure spreads across the curve and does not load one or two vertebrae. For a client who has been sliding forward or propping on an armrest to breathe, that support changes how long they can tolerate sitting.
It adjusts while the client is seated, which means you can set it in clinic and fine tune it at review. Height growth is built in for a client who is still growing.
