The Oxford Deluxe Transport sling is for clients who still take some weight through their legs and hold their trunk well enough to sit without head support. It covers seated transfers and assisted standing work with the one sling.
It is fully padded, which matters for clients who feel pressure through the thighs and back under load, and the non-slip backing reduces ride-up as the hoist takes weight. An adjustable waist strap holds the sling in place while the client comes up. Coloured loops let a carer set a hip and shoulder position and have the next carer repeat it, which keeps handling consistent across a roster.
The sling is polyester and attaches by loops, so it suits loop-style spreader bars. There is no head support, so it is not for lifting from a horizontal position, and it is not suitable for double amputees.
Slings must be inspected at least every six months under ISO 10535, and a client assessment should be completed before use.
