After a single leg amputation the weight distribution in a sling changes, and a sling tailored for two legs can let the client slide towards the missing side. This sling is shaped for one sided amputation above or below knee, or total hip, with support built up at the amputation site so the client sits level in the lift.
That stability matters clinically and it matters to the person being hoisted, who feels the difference immediately in how secure the transfer is. Carers get a sling that behaves the same way every time rather than one they have to correct mid lift.
It is supplied for left or right leg, and uses four point clip attachment, so order the side that matches your client.
