The KA113S is the weight bearing version of KCare’s transit shower commode. It rolls over the toilet and into the shower, so one chair covers both, and the carer pushes from behind.
The difference sits at the front. The footplate slides out and takes load, so a client who does a sit to stand or a step transfer can push through their feet instead of having the plate swung away first. That one detail is often what decides between this and the standard model.
Swing up loop arms clear the side for lateral transfers, and the backrest uses a three strap design that opens for perineal access. Total lock castors hold the chair still while the transfer happens. The frame is rust resistant, the seat and backrest surfaces are waterproof and easy to clean, and the chair is independently tested to the Australian standard. This listing is the narrowest seat width in the range.
