This is the everyday shower chair: a stable seat with a backrest and arms, at a price that suits a quick turnaround or a hire fleet.
It suits a client who tires standing, has poor balance on a wet floor, or needs arms to push up from sitting, whether that is after surgery, with arthritis or with a heart or lung condition. The backrest supports someone with reduced trunk control. Push button legs set the seat to a comfortable sit to stand level, and rubber feet grip the wet floor.
The frame is aluminium and the seat and back are moulded plastic with drain holes, so it will not rust and it rinses clean. It arrives flat packed and goes together without tools.
Good to know
- Flat packed, tool-free assembly
- Check the shower recess is wide enough for the chair with the door closed
- Set all four legs to the same height before use
- Funding: NDIS, Home Care Packages and Support at Home, DVA or private
