The Rainrider is a fully enclosed scooter, effectively a small cabin on four wheels. Double sided doors, a windscreen with wipers and LED headlights mean the weather stops being the thing that decides whether your client leaves the house. For someone in a rural or exposed part of the state who relies on a scooter as their transport, that changes what they can commit to.
Who it suits
Clients who ride most days and need to arrive dry: a regular commute to work or a day program, school pick ups, the trip to the shops in a Tasmanian winter. It is a large machine, so it wants a carport or garage to live in and a reasonably generous path at home.
Inside, the double pillow high back seat slides, rotates and adjusts for height, and the tiller adjusts to suit, so a taller or shorter rider can get set up properly. Indicators, hazard lights and rear lights are fitted, and the rear parcel box carries shopping under cover.
