Powered tilt matters for a client who cannot shift their own weight. Tilting the whole seat back changes the pressure under the pelvis and thighs at regular intervals through the day, gives the trunk a rest from working against gravity, and can settle a client who fatigues into a forward slump by early afternoon.
Because tilt keeps the hip and knee angles fixed, positioning set at fitting stays where you put it through the tilt range, which is what makes it useful for clients with high tone or a moulded support surface. The client operates it themselves from the controller, so pressure relief does not depend on a carer being in the room.
Underneath is the mid wheel drive Cougar: contoured back and headrest, adjustable armrests and footrest, and finger control with high and low speed settings.
