Who it suits
The Streamer suits a client who needs powered mobility mainly inside the home and around the immediate neighbourhood, and who has the hand function and judgement to drive a joystick safely. The tight turning circle means it will work in a hallway, a kitchen and a bathroom doorway without a lot of shunting back and forward.
Seating is a high back with a headrest, and both the seat height and the armrests adjust, so you can set it up to suit your client’s sitting balance and transfer method. The joystick can be mounted on either armrest, which matters when one hand is stronger or when the chair sits alongside a bed on a fixed side. Controls are fingertip operated, so it is a reasonable option where grip strength is limited.
A free wheel lever lets a carer push the chair manually when the power is off or the battery is flat. Flat free tyres mean no punctures to manage, which takes one job away from families and support workers.
