The Atlanta 2 keeps people safely seated without restraint. Its tilt and recline move together, so as the seat tips back the person settles into the chair rather than sliding forward. The low 500 mm seat height and wide base keep it stable, and the leg rest angle adjusts with three footrest set-ups.
Seat depth adjusts without tools, and the chair is designed to work with hoists and stand aids. Seat widths run from 400 to 600 mm.
Who it suits
People who are at risk of falls from a chair or who move vigorously and involuntarily, for example in Huntington’s disease, later-stage dementia or palliative care. We trial it with the care team and the prescribing OT, Tasmania-wide.
