Who it suits
The pelvic support is the part of the TRAM that takes the client’s weight through the pelvis, so it suits anyone being stood or walked in the device who cannot reliably hold themselves up. Most clients who use the TRAM for standing or gait work will need one.
Carrying the load at the pelvis leaves the legs free to step and the arms free to steady, and it takes away much of the fear of falling that stops people practising. Clients who have been reluctant to walk often tolerate longer sessions once they can feel they are held.
Three sizes cover a wide range of body shapes, and it is a straightforward job to change the support when you move between clients in a shared setting.
