Arm platforms give your client a padded forearm surface to rest on while they use the TRAM, so the load goes through the forearms and not the hands. That helps people with weak grip, painful wrists or reduced hand control take part in standing and supported walking.
The foam padding is shaped to hold the forearm in place, and the platforms adjust in height and position so you can set them to the client’s arm length and posture. They come in two sizes, and you can order them with or without handgrips depending on whether the client can still use a grip for steering and confidence.
For clinicians, they widen the range of clients who can be worked with safely in the one device, and they make longer gait sessions more tolerable because nothing is being white knuckled.
