Push handles are for the person moving the chair. They fit to the back of the Activity Chair and put a proper grip at hand height, so a carer steering the chair between rooms pushes from a sensible posture, with no bending over the backrest.
In a school this is a daily job. The chair moves from the classroom to the hall to the therapy room, often several times, and a handle that is at the right height for the staff member doing it is a small piece of manual handling care that adds up over a term.
They fit to the existing frame and stay out of the way of the backrest, headrest and any straps already mounted.
