Forearm prompts are for clients working towards functional hand use at a table. Each prompt clamps to the chair or tray on a post and supports the forearm in a set position, so the arm is held where the task is happening and not falling into the lap.
The value is in what it frees up. A client who spends most of their effort stabilising an arm has little left for reaching, pressing a switch or bringing food to the mouth. Take the stabilising job away and the hand gets a chance to do its own work.
Height, angle and position all adjust, so you can grade the support down over a term as control improves. Sizes follow the chair sizes.
