A flat headrest is the simple option for a client who has reasonable head control but needs a place to rest the back of the head, particularly once the chair is tilted for a break, a drink or a feed.
It mounts on the backrest post and adjusts up and down for height and forward and back for angle, so you can set it just behind the occiput without pushing the head into flexion. The pad is firm, padded and wipe clean.
Because it has no wings, it leaves the sides of the head clear. That suits clients who turn to scan a room or track a communication partner and who would find lateral contact restrictive.
