The Ultracare is a lift, rest and recline chair on castors, so the chair can be brought to the person. That matters in a home where the client spends most of the day seated and the lounge room has become the care space.
It runs on a removable lithium ion battery, so there is no cord across the floor and the chair can be repositioned or wheeled to another room. The battery gives an audible and visual warning when it needs charging. Two German actuators drive the lift and recline, and the handset has large buttons for clients with limited dexterity.
Who it suits
Removable armrests and wings open the side for a transfer, which suits clients using a hoist or a slide board. The seat, back and leg rest are covered in incontinent grade PU that wipes down, with vinyl side panels and storage pockets. A pocket spring seat base carries the client comfortably for long sitting periods, and a push handle at the rear gives the carer control when the chair is moved.
