The Raz-AT is the attendant operated tilt-in-space shower commode that gets specified when a client cannot hold themselves upright for a full bathroom routine. Locking gas springs and a foot pedal move the seat through tilt, so pressure shifts off the seat during a long shower and the carer keeps both the client and their own back under control.
The moulded seat has an ischial and pelvic alignment system with fore and aft adjustment, so the client is set up in the chair rather than simply placed in it. It arrives with a commode pan and lid, a moulded headrest, flip-up padded arms and swing-away footrests with flip-up plates. Seat height adjusts in steps without tools, and the polished stainless steel frame on dual-locking castors is made for daily wet use.
Who it suits
A client with poor sitting balance, high tone, or fatigue who cannot manage an upright shower commode for the length of a shower, including clients with MS, spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy or advanced neurological conditions, and one who is showered and toileted by a carer. Choose the frame width to the client’s hip width and the bathroom, and check the toilet before choosing the 16 inch frame, which will not straddle a standard pan.
