A fall at home is rarely the emergency people expect. More often the person is unhurt but stuck on the floor, and the only options are an ambulance or a carer trying a lift that puts both of them at risk. The Raizer II is built for that moment. One carer assembles it around the person where they lie, presses a button, and a battery driven motor brings them from the floor up to near standing.
It cuts the long lie, which is what does the real damage after a fall, and it takes the manual handling out of the carer’s hands entirely. The chair breaks down into parts that one person can carry and store, so it travels with a community care team or sits in a cupboard at home until it is needed. Aluminium legs with moulded seat and backrests keep it light without feeling flimsy.
Who it suits
Clients who fall regularly at home or in residential care, have no injury needing an ambulance, but cannot be lifted by a partner or a support worker. It is often supplied alongside a falls alarm or pendant. It gives a firm, chair shaped lift with a backrest behind the person the whole way up.
