Some clients need the hips kept above the knees and nothing more. The SC7060D replaces the existing toilet seat and lid, bolting to the standard hinge holes, so the toilet still looks and behaves like a normal toilet: it just sits higher. There is no frame on the floor and nothing to move before anyone else uses it.
That makes it a tidy answer in a small bathroom or a shared household, where a frame is in the way and a clip-on seat gets knocked out of place. It comes in three fixed heights, so measure the current seat height against the client’s knee height and pick the one that puts them in a safe starting position. The moulded plastic wipes clean and the lid closes over the seat as usual.
This is for a client with enough leg and arm strength to stand without pushing up on arms, at a height that will hold steady rather than change as they recover.
Good to know
- Fitting requires removing the existing seat; a spanner is usually needed
- Not compatible with concealed or hidden hinge toilets; check the pan before ordering
- Measure the current seat height and the client’s knee height to choose between 50, 100 and 150 mm
