The R82 Multi Frame:x is a wheelchair base for children who need to be held steadily through a full day of activity, and for the carers pushing them through it. Stability is the starting point: a child who is not fighting the chair can put their attention on what is in front of them.
Tilt-in-space and back recline are both operated from the push brace, so the carer changes the child’s position from standing behind the chair rather than crouching at the side of it. The push handle reclines steplessly to suit whoever is pushing, which is worth more than it sounds when several people share the job across a day.
Seat height adjustment brings the child as close to the floor as the setup allows, and a lower seat is a much easier transfer for everyone involved. Less lifting means fewer two-person transfers and less strain on the people doing them.
