The R82 Kudu is a practical paediatric wheelchair for a child who needs postural support through the day without the bulk that usually comes with it. It is made to work indoors and outdoors, so one chair covers the classroom, the footpath and the trip to the park.
Who it suits
Children who need tilt and recline to manage posture, fatigue and pressure, and families or schools where an adult will be doing the positioning. The curved tilt-in-space beam keeps the chair stable while letting a carer change the tilt with very little effort, and the angle between the back and the seat is set separately through the back recline, so posture and rest position can be tuned independently.
The rear wheels mount in three horizontal positions, which lets you place the centre of gravity for the individual child rather than settling for an average. The frame is short and compact, so it turns in real houses and real corridors and supports independence where the child is able to push.
