A client who stands from a chair without help is a falls risk whether the chair is in a ward, a lounge room or a day centre. The Posey 8309 chair pad sits under them on a chair, wheelchair or recliner and connects by cable to a Posey fall alarm, which sounds the moment weight leaves the pad.
It is a single patient item with a rated life from first use, which suits a short admission, post-operative confusion, delirium, or a new mobility restriction the client keeps forgetting. Grip matting on the underside stops the pad creeping forward as the person shifts about, so it stays where the carer put it.
Like the rest of the range, the pad has no alarm of its own and no power in it. The only decisions are which surfaces you want covered and how many pads that takes.
Good to know
- No alarm in the pad. It needs a compatible Posey alarm, sold separately, and is designed exclusively for Posey fall alarms
- Powered through the cable by the connected alarm
