When a client cannot hold their head up and has little sitting balance, the transfer needs to happen in a supported, slightly reclined position rather than upright. The RgoSling HighBack Padded is built for that. Padding runs through the back and leg sections, so the client is carried in a shape that holds them rather than one they have to work against.
It can be applied to a client lying in bed or already seated in a chair or wheelchair, and it will take a lift from the floor after a fall, which means one sling covers most of what a household actually faces. Application pockets on the back panel give the carer something to push against when the client can help a little, and make single carer fitting more workable.
The sliding lifting loops are the part clinicians tend to like. They let the carer set how far back the client reclines and shift where the weight sits, and because the loops are colour coded, the setting one carer finds can be repeated exactly by the next person on shift. Flip-up labels keep size and washing information readable while the sling is in use.
Sizing should be set by the prescribing clinician against the client’s height, weight and trunk control.
