A person who can take some of their own weight will get more out of a bed if they have something solid to pull on. This triangle hangs from an overhead pole and gives them a handle for repositioning, sitting forward and taking pressure off the sacrum without calling for help every time.
The belt retracts. That keeps the handle from swinging into the person’s face or sitting in their line of sight once the backrest is raised, which is a common complaint with a fixed strap.
For a carer it means fewer assisted repositions through the day, and for the person in the bed it means a bit more independence. It needs a compatible overhead pole to hang from.
