The Powerklick Hybrid is a power add on for a manual wheelchair, using the Klaxon linking system so the drive unit attaches and releases in one movement without permanent changes to the chair.
Add ons like this suit a client who is an independent manual user but loses range or gets shoulder pain over longer distances. Attaching the unit covers the trip, and taking it off returns the chair to its usual weight and manoeuvrability indoors. Because nothing is bolted on for good, the same wheelchair still works for transfers, vehicle loading and tight spaces at home.
Fit matters more than anything else here. The linking hardware has to match the frame, and seating, footplate position and transport arrangements all need checking before an order goes in, so an assessment with the actual chair is the sensible first step.
