Where a child is well under the width of their chair, these deeper narrowing pads bring both side walls in so the pelvis is held centrally and cannot drift.
The larger reduction suits a small or slightly built child in a frame that has been sized for growth, or a child who has lost weight and no longer fills the seat. Restoring firm lateral contact at the pelvis usually improves everything above it: less trunk collapse, better head position and more useful hand function at the table.
The pads are removable, so the same chair can be opened back up in stages as the child grows. They are supplied in five sizes matched to the chair.
