This KDee II is specified with open bed ends and beech head and foot boards, which keeps the weight down and the look domestic while still giving a full profiling platform. Dewert electronics drive the height, backrest, knee break and tilt.
The reason most referrers reach for a bed like this is manual handling. Bringing the platform up to the carer’s working height takes the bending out of washing, dressing and pad changes, and dropping it low again reduces the fall height for a client who is restless overnight. Head down and foot down tilt are there for positioning, oedema management and repositioning a client who has slid down the bed.
It comes apart for transport and reassembles in a room without a lot of space, which makes it practical for community placements and for clients moving between settings. Single and king single platforms are both available.
