The Malibu is a hi-lo care bed for aged care rooms and for people being supported at home. It brings the person down low for safety overnight and back up to a working height for cares, so staff are not bending over a fixed bed all shift.
Who it suits
It suits residents who need a clinical bed but are living somewhere that should not look like a hospital. The head and footboards are finished in neutral beech timber, and the fold down handrails can be removed entirely or clamped back on as the person’s needs change.
The four section platform auto contours, with backrest and knee break adjusting independently from a Linak handset. Clearance underneath is set up for hoist use, and pedal central locking on all four twin wheel castors means one foot movement secures the bed. Mattress retainers on the corners stop the mattress creeping as the bed moves.
