The K-Dee Classic is a community and residential care bed for clients who need powered profiling but whose bedroom should still look like a bedroom. The ends are fully enclosed beech, so it sits in a lounge room or a residential suite without announcing itself as hospital equipment.
Five powered adjustments cover height, backrest, knee break, Trendelenburg and reverse Trendelenburg, driven by Dewert actuators through a handset with a lockout function. The lockout is worth noting for clients with cognitive change or for families who want the controls settled. Height adjustment brings the bed down low for a client at risk of rolling out, and up to a working height that protects the carer’s back during cares.
It breaks down and reassembles without specialist tools, so it can be moved between rooms or homes, and there is an optional length extension for taller clients along with a choice of steel, timber or three quarter side rails. Available in single and king single.
