A four legged shower chair with arms covers most of what a walk in shower asks for: somewhere to sit, a back to rest against, and something to push up from.
The K Care version comes in two widths, so you can match the seat to the client’s build rather than making do, and the wider one also carries a higher user weight. The clip on contoured seat and backrest lift off for cleaning, drainage slots stop water pooling, and there is a handle moulded into the backrest for moving the chair between users.
Legs adjust independently, which is worth having on the uneven floor of an older bathroom, and anti slip tips are fitted to each one. It suits a client who fatigues standing, or who needs arms to push up from sitting.
Good to know
- Delivered flat; the seat clips on and the legs push in without tools
- Check the shower recess is at least 60 mm wider than the overall width of the chair
- A heavy duty version is available for clients over 135 kg
- Approved for institutional and domestic use
