Not every client needs a full shower chair. Someone who can walk in and manage sit to stand, but who fatigues, gets short of breath or feels unsafe standing on wet tiles, often just needs somewhere to sit.
The K Care Economy stool is the budget answer to that: a compact seat on push button legs with anti slip rubber feet, sized for a narrow recess where a chair with arms will not fit. Choose the padded seat for comfort, or the plastic seat if it needs to dry quickly and wipe down between users. The legs fit without tools.
It works for clients after surgery, with arthritis, or with a heart or lung condition who still have the balance to sit and stand unaided. A client who needs a backrest, arms to push up from, or a higher weight rating should be on a shower chair instead.
Good to know
- Set all four legs to the same height before use
- No backrest or armrests; consider a shower chair if the client needs them
- Rinse and dry after use to keep the frame free of soap build-up
- Economy range; the frame is steel, not aluminium, so keep it out of standing water
