The K Care Donatello 4 Motor is the full size version of the Donatello lift recliner, with its own motor for the backrest, footrest, headrest and lumbar support. Each one is set from the hand control on its own, so the chair can be shaped to the client rather than moved through one fixed arc.
The two-stage lift brings your client up towards standing, and the backrest reclines to lie flat with the footrest extended for rest through the day. Six presets on the soft-grip hand control cover the positions most people use, including full stand and full recline, which helps a client who finds multi-button handsets confusing.
Backrest choice is where the prescription usually lands. The lateral support back suits a client who leans to one side, and the tall back suits a taller client whose head sits above a standard backrest. It is a good fit for an adult who struggles to stand from a lounge chair and spends long periods sitting, for example with arthritis, heart failure, Parkinson’s or post-surgery recovery. It is a lift recliner, so it does not give pressure care through the night and it is not set up for a client who is hoisted.
