The JAY GS is made for growing children and young people who need pressure care and postural support from the same cushion, and who will need it to change shape as they grow. It is built on a contoured closed-cell foam base with a JAY Flow fluid insert running through the loading area.
The fluid insert conforms to the child’s shape and keeps redistributing load as they shift about during the day, which matters for a client who cannot reliably weight shift on their own. Contracture cutouts protect the lower limbs, and the foam base can be modified in the field, so the fit can be adjusted at a review without the cushion leaving the chair for long.
A large well with optional shelf extensions lets you seat the child forward at the start and extend the support surface as their femurs lengthen. Loop-sided fastening across the base means positioning components can be moved as posture changes. The stretch cover is machine washable and carries a silver ion fibre with a spacer layer for airflow.
