The Softform Premier is a high specification foam mattress for a client assessed at high risk of pressure injury who does not need a powered surface. It is the sort of mattress you script when the client is in bed for most of the day, the skin is already vulnerable, and the household wants something quiet that simply works.
Castellated foam inserts under the trunk and a tapered heel section take load off the areas that break down first, while the U shaped core gives firmer side walls so the client has something stable to push against when they move to the edge of the bed. That side wall support also helps a carer with transfers.
The waterproof, vapour permeable cover has a full length zip flap to stop fluid tracking inside, and it comes off for laundering. Nothing needs rotating to keep its shape, so there is one less task on the care plan.
