Long sitting time in a sling is hard on skin, and this one is made for the client who spends more than a moment in it. The spacer fabric puts a layer of foam behind an open mesh face, so the sling cushions the contact points and lets air move through against the skin.
It is a high back design, supporting the head and neck along with the trunk and hips. That suits clients with limited head control, and it keeps the client’s position stable while the carer works around them.
The strap layout gives the carer a set of choices at the spreader bar, so the seated angle can be opened out for a recliner transfer or brought forward for a chair to chair move. Bindings are colour coded by size, which cuts the guesswork when several clients share a lifter.
