The Matrx Vi is a skin protection and positioning cushion for clients sitting at high or very high risk of pressure injury. A three part foam construction puts the softer material where the ischial tuberosities sit and keeps firmer support under the thighs and trochanters, so immersion happens where it is needed without losing stability.
The contoured seat well is shaped from adult pelvic measurements. It holds the pelvis from all directions, discourages sliding forward and gives lateral support to the femurs. The rear radius closes the gap between the cushion and the backrest, and the waterfall front edge suits shortened hamstrings and foot propulsion.
The moisture resistant inner cover wipes clean and zips off, so foam modifications for leg length differences or width reductions can be made without replacing the cushion.
