The Icare Headboard finishes an adjustable care bed so it looks like bedroom furniture, which matters to clients who do not want a clinical looking room at home. It is fully upholstered and can be matched to the bed’s fabrics and colours.
It has a practical job as well: it stops pillows and bedding sliding off the head of the bed when the backrest is raised or the bed is profiling, so the client is not left without head support in the middle of the night. Mounting is tool free, so it can be fitted or taken off for cleaning, moving or servicing without a technician.
One point to note for prescribers: the headboard is not a load bearing part and is not intended for positioning or supporting the client.
