The G5 Folding Rail gives roll out protection and a stable support point along the side of a Gravitate bed. Three horizontal rails form a continuous barrier above the mattress, with spacing that meets the AS/NZS requirements for bed side protection systems.
Those rails also serve as handholds. A client can use them for lateral trunk stability, for sitting safely on the edge of the bed without roll risk, and to help pull across during repositioning, which can reduce how often they need to call a carer for routine bed mobility.
Spring loaded self locating pins let a carer raise and lower the rail easily, and it folds flat against the frame for unrestricted access during transfers, cleaning or sheet changes. The bolt on system fits either side, chosen from the client’s in bed perspective, and installs in about fifteen minutes with basic tools. Steel with a corrosion resistant powder coat, so it stands up to facility cleaning. It is a support and roll out device, not a restraint, and supervision still applies.
