A toileting sling only earns its place if the client stays upright in it. The Handi-Move Thorax Hygiene Sling adds support through the trunk and lower back, with a self adjusting system that takes up as the client settles, so they stay held and stable while the carer works.
The large cut out leaves the seat and lower back clear, which is what lets clothing be managed and continence care carried out without taking the client out of the sling. An abdominal belt with Velcro closure adds security across the front. This version has padded leg sections, so pressure is spread across the thighs during what can be a longer than usual hold.
It suits a client who needs hoisting for toileting but has enough trunk shape to sit supported in it, and it takes a lot of the strain out of a routine that happens several times a day.
