The Body Support is a rigid lifting attachment that picks a client up under the arms and around the thighs, so there is no sling to fit, roll under or take out afterwards. For a client who transfers many times a day, that takes most of the handling out of the routine.
The back and seat stay completely clear, so toileting, showering and dressing can happen with the person held upright and supported. The thigh supports use a self locking action: they hold firmly under the client’s weight and release easily once the weight comes off, so there is nothing for a carer to buckle or thread. Arms are stainless steel with polyurethane hands and wipe clean between users.
This version comes without leg supports and is supplied with hooks and a fixation band. It attaches to Handi-Move mobile hoists and ceiling motors, and many clients learn to run the lift themselves, which is often the reason it gets specified.
