The Altair is a portable ceiling hoist motor: it lifts off its rail and moves to another room or another client, so one unit can cover several rail runs in a house, a group home or a ward.
It is small and light enough to carry in one hand and clip back on without tools. Hanger bars release quickly and come in more than one size, and it takes two, three and four point slings, so the same unit covers standing transfers, toileting and bed to chair work.
Who it suits
It suits services running several rails across different rooms, and clients who need lifting in more than one space at home. On board tracking records how much the hoist is used, which helps with servicing schedules and with reporting.
