This sling is made for clients with bilateral above knee amputations. It is a full rectangular support that carries the trunk and both residual limbs together, holding the person balanced and upright through the lift.
Choose the fabric to suit the routine: mesh where the sling goes into the bath or shower and needs to dry, parachute nylon where it stays behind the client in a wheelchair through the day, or smooth fabric where it is applied and removed at each transfer. Versions with a hygiene cut out are available where toileting is part of the transfer.
It loops onto 2 or 4 point spreader bars and works across mobile hoists and ceiling motors. Fit is most of the job with bilateral amputees.
