Getting out of a low lounge chair is one of the first things that gets hard at home. The Golden Relaxer lifts and tilts forward at the press of a button, bringing the user up to a standing position so they rise with less effort and less strain on their knees and on the person helping them. The same control lowers them back into the seat.
MaxiComfort positioning gives two comfort zones, so the back and footrest move separately and the user can sit upright, put their feet up, or lie back to rest. A straight lift option is standard. The three-pillow waterfall back adjusts for support, the pocketed coil seat has a wide chaise pad under the lower legs, and the rounded arms are soft to lean on. The hand control stores in a side pocket, and there is a 9 V battery backup in case of a power cut.
Who it suits
An older person or anyone who finds standing up from a chair tiring or unsafe, at home or in aged care, who can bear weight and take a few steps once upright. This is the medium size, with a 521 mm wide by 521 mm deep seat at 508 mm high. The right size depends on the user’s height, leg length and weight, so check that their feet rest flat on the floor and their back reaches the backrest. Book a trial at home or in one of our showrooms, Tasmania-wide, and we will help match the chair to the user with their OT.
